Ready to start your AI engineering journey? JOSA AI Bootcamp 2026 is a project-oriented program designed to give aspiring AI engineers the right mix of theory and practice.

Over seven Saturdays, you'll build your way from AI fundamentals to production-ready systems. Sessions cover prompt engineering, RAG pipelines that ground AI in real data, autonomous agents, feedback loops for catching and fixing model failures, and fine-tuning open source models on domain-specific knowledge. Each day covers two sessions, and each session pairs focused theory with hands-on building.

Seats are limited. We're keeping cohorts small to ensure a high-quality, hands-on experience for everyone, so accepted participants are expected to attend a minimum of 6 out of 7 sessions.

  • How products are changing with AI and why is it important to adapt AI now.
  • The Hype vs Reality.
  • Examples of how AI is implemented and how it changes what we do plus some examples of new products emerging as a result.

Core AI Engineering

  • Explore the LLM landscape, commercial APIs and open source models.
  • Master prompt engineering, context windows, and LLM parameters.
  • Build a working chatbot backed by models that run locally.

AI Architectures: RAG & grounded chatbots

  • Understand Retrieval-Augmented Generation and why grounding matters.
  • Tackle hallucinations, consistency, and context optimization.
  • Build a grounded chatbot powered by a custom FAQ / knowledge base.

Agentic AI: agents, multi-agent workflows and MCP

  • Move from single-prompt LLMs to autonomous agents and multi-agent workflows.
  • Learn about agentic harness and MCP fundamentals and security considerations.
  • Build an agent that takes real actions on behalf of a user.

  • Instrument feedback loops, logging, and debugging for production AI.
  • Measure model accuracy and design retraining strategies.
