The Jordan Open Source Association (JOSA), pleased to invite civil society organizations (CSOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) based in Jordan to apply for a free, in-person capacity-building training on data collection security and privacy.
As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Jordan, JOSA is developing a Toolkit/Guide to help CSOs and NGOs adopt open-source approaches to collect, manage, and analyze data in ways that are safe, accessible, and responsive to local needs.
About the Training
This training aims to raise awareness about the risks and limitations of commonly used data collection tools and strengthen participants’ skills in online privacy and the use of secure, open-source alternatives.
Participants will also be introduced to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) framework and guided through JOSA’s practical data protection toolkit, designed to help organizations collect and manage data responsibly and securely.
The training will bring together 20 representatives from CSOs and NGOs operating in Jordan for an engaging and hands-on learning experience.
