We are JOSA, a non-profit organization that believes technology should be accessible, transparent and beneficial to everyone in our society. Our team run initiatives that promote technology in Jordan to enhance access to knowledge, civic participation and online safety.

 

Job Description

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Technical Program Officer to:

• Help managing and running several technology aspects of our projects and initiatives.
• Implement successful activities and initiatives to use technology and open source software for the good of the society.
• Ensure that our efforts are having impact, by coordinating with other team members and partners.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for people who are passionate about our mission and values and interested in technology and human rights. Preferably, the ideal candidate should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Knowledge in programming.
• A good understanding of the basics of cyber security.
• A good understanding of how technology impact society and individuals.

Previous experience is not required, and fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

 

REPORTING

The Technical Program Officer reports to the Program Coordinator and maintains constant communications with JOSA's Tech Team.
