TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
JOSA is looking for a skilled Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Consultant who are interested in Digital Rights.
The project works towards enhancing the digital rights infrastructure to promote internet freedom in the region with specific focus on Jordan, through increasing the level of digital rights knowledge and awareness among Internet users, improving governmental policies and strategies, increasing capacities of identifying and preventing digital risks and threats, and strengthening ability among technical and non-technical digital rights' community for a better contribute to digital rights.
Tasks in this position will include:
Responsible to develop a MEL plan within the first three months of the project life aligned with the approved logframe and monitoring activities.
Responsible for monitoring activities (monitoring tools, implementation of monitoring tools, monitoring activities reporting).
Responsible for an internal yearly learning event that captures status of implementation, challenges, successes, lesson learnt, targets, and corrective actions should be taken in order to pull off project outcomes and objectives.
Support programme team in donor annual reporting.
Support in the recruitment process of a third party to carry out an independent end of project evaluation (EPE) that would assess the performance of the project.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Passionate about JOSA’s mission and values.
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related field, or equivalent, with 5-6 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation required.
Previous experience in Digital Rights projects is preferable.
Experience in data collection and data processing, and social media data collection and processing.
Experience in development of assessment tools.
Ability to plan and organize events, trainings, and activities
Must be able to work within a cross-cultural setting and negotiate diplomatically.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Good report writing skills.
Preferably, a JOSA member or a member/volunteer of any open source community.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
